The power steering calls for ATF, but looks and smells like power steering fluid (although very black and nasty). Using a suction gun, I can only get a small amount out ... When i was thinking about keeping my Ford CII pump, I did some research and what I found was the CII puts out between 800-1200 psi, with a flow rating of 1.5 gpm. I was thinking of useing mine for hydro steering, but 1.5 gpm is half of what a stock saginaw pump flows. The pressure between the two is about the same.
