WebHard crusty thermal paste on my 2080TI. This is one of the downsides of Gigabyte cards. Also MSI is basically the same. Both use crap paste and pads. I did this same thing to my Gigabyte 2060, and my paste was all crusty and brittle like yours (and this was less than one year into its lifespan). I also did this on my Gigabyte 3070 and same thing.
